Our panelists had their own ideas on what makes a laptop bag worthwhile, but they agreed that it should look nice, be comfortable to carry, and have plenty of room for their laptop and commuting gear. None of our panelists thought any laptop tote bag was the quintessential bag, but we did find some standouts for most professionals
To find the best laptop bags for work, we read style blogs, bag forums, and online reviews, and we consulted our co-workers about what makes a great laptop tote. Then we compiled a list of 55 laptop tote bags that had excellent reviews, and we noted the price of each bag, its availability across retailers, third-party reviews, the size, and the materials used. We also listed each bag’s notable features, such as zippered compartments, a dedicated laptop pocket, a crossbody strap, color options, and warranty coverage. Then we divided the laptop bags into five categories based on their overall design and price: black-hole tote bags, budget tote bags (usually under $50), convertible bags, traditional totes, and travel laptop tote bags.
